SOFIE DYKMANS: - multilingual singer-songwriter - sofie.dykmans@telenet.be - I'm working out songs with the help of my friends! mixture of hip electro bleeps & beats, melodic voices, acoustic instruments, movie atmospheres. What I hear in my head is what I'm working on to give to you ... Preproduction with Erik Van Biesen - soundtrack and live singing in theaterproduction "Eerlijk Gezegd" www.wimgeysen.be My previous bands: "La Trampa de Venus"; latin, mediterranean, loungy tango, Spanish and Italian songs. Past concerts: Sfinks Festival, Gulden Ontsporing (AB), de Zomer van Antwerpen, Gentse Feesten, Zomeravonden,... first CD came out in 2004 and got a lot of airplay on Radio 1. With "Les Gazons Bleus" I was into tex-mex - cajun standing close to Ralph Samanta. Now I do gigs of all kinds: on events, party's, festivals,... mixed repertoire of latin, jazz, easy going music, old bolero's, bossa nova. We did concerts like for Promedia, Kabuki events, kanaal+ ( Red & Blue), t Elzenveld, Kasteel Den Brandt,... and in the summer of 2006 a lot of private party's !!! I love co-writing (lyrics and melodies) like with Elektrokid, Implant, Geert Bogaerts and Jan D'Hooghe (ringel-S) I created a soundscape on wich I can improvise classic opera arias, using my voice as an instrument. I was hanging in a tree or on a on a lamppost in a kind of wedding dress, Maria disguise... welcoming the guests as mysterious intriguing figure. I did this in 't Elzenveld, CC De Breughel (Bree) Me and my guitar we get along well... strumming comes natural, also some solo melodies on electric guitar. I played the leading riffs in "White light White heat", covers of the Velvet Underground with Kloot Per W, Bea Van der Maat. And with love for the drama I sing with the company of "Theater Tol" : Taarten - Corazon dOro - Corazon de Angeles. Performances done: all kinds of theater festivals; Zomer Van Antwerpen, Oerol festival, Boulevard, Den Haag,... TV MOVIE: Seen on ATV singing, part in The Flemish Vampire (DJM Works, R.kan Albay) seen on TV1: Zonder handen - Man bijt hond publicity spots: - JET - Boodschap Zonder Naam - Big Brother (kanaal II) - Ariel / Twix / Goed Gevoel
